FROM COACH TO COUNSELOR

What To Do When Business Becomes Personal

While a definitive difference between coaching (increasing success) and counseling (coping with distress) certainly exists, in practice the line blurs when clients and coworkers experience trauma during the coaching process, bring their issues into the process, and/or their coping behaviors impede aspects of the process. In this program, we offer consultants and leaders of every stripe at every level the benefit of 100+ years of collective experience in individual, team and organizational coaching and consulting from the Fortune 100 C-suite to small business family members across a diverse market spectrum. We have particular expertise in the fallout associated with mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy restructuring, and line-of-business layoffs. In our 2-part seminar, we’ll dive into the differences, the gray areas between, and the dos and don’ts of best practice from a positive-healing model perspective. Each meeting can be structured around current cases or prepared case studies depending on participant appetite and comfort level. In either case, we’ll engage in safe-space practice, applying the counseling and coaching skills of participants and facilitators alike.
