Decision Dominoes

Making Informed Decisions While Reconciling Speed, Quality & Cost with Risk & Divergent Stakeholder Expectations

In this increasingly more-with-less work-world, leaders and managers are expected to bring multiple projects and change initiatives to a successful conclusion on-time and under-budget while sustaining the satisfaction of a broader diversity of stakeholders.

The biggest challenge: diverging and conflicting ideas of success across stakeholders.

The best answer: better, faster, more inclusive decisions.

In this course, leaders and managers will experience a hands-on, first-things-first approach to decision-making under time-cost-quality constraints while managing potential risks and conflicting stakeholder expectations. Participants will develop critical-thinking and problem-solving skills as they apply a set of tried-and-true Decision Dominoes methods and tools.

For most programs, that’s enough. Knowing and applying the right tools at the right time should bring about the right outcomes. True, if people were not involved! Leaders and managers need more than just better decisions. They need better communications—written, spoken, remote, face-to-face, one-on-one, presentations, meetings small and large with third-party contractors, higher-ups, bosses, coworkers and team members, not to mention that growing list of increasingly diverse stakeholders. Even the best decisions will fail without buy-in and sustained support.

Decision Dominoes integrates much-needed communication skills into the training methodology. As participants work through business case interactions, special attention is given to information, presentation, and influence fundamentals—the why and the when and the what and the how. Participants will gain deep insight into how and why their decisions—and more importantly their presentations of those decisions—domino into the next and the next and the next. Graduates of Decision Dominoes will be prepared and practiced for taking on current and future assignments with confidence.
