AKA Den Stygge Stesøsteren, The Ugly Stepsister is a Norwegian entry and dark-comedic retelling of Cinderella.
If you enjoy The Substance (or "body horror" films in general, like the sort David Cronenberg makes), The Ugly Stepsister may be right up your alley.
I did not dislike it, but "pleasantly entertaining" is not at all how I'd characterize such films, no matter how well executed.
In the end, I mostly find them unenjoyable.
