I do wish Badlands featured an antagonist as looming as the original's Kevin Peter Hall (7 feet 2 inches), but the latest installment's trailer alone gives me Dune vibes, so who knows, maybe we're onto something?
Fun Fact: Here's a peek at Van Damme's lobster-like predator before he (being too small) was recast and the creature was reimagined by the legendary Stan Winston who, along with James Cameron, added mandibles and dreadlocks!
p.s. Saw it. Ah, now I get it: The new predator is small because he's the runt, outcast to prove himself. 10-4. I'm clocking now.
LOVED this film. It was loud, felt enormous, and fun as heck.
