Emma Mackey’s adorable, Jamie Lee Curtis is sassy as always, Albert Brooks’ dry humor leaves me in stitches, Woody Harrelson’s dad is a lovable lout, and Julie Kavner’s narration is pitch-perfect.
I really enjoyed the film, but holy moly, IMDb slaughtered it with a 5.1.
Yeah, yeah, yeah—I get why (it’s a bit hammy and heavy-handed, syrupy), but dang, so cute and effervescent.
Nothing wrong with that in dark times like these.
