Had no idea what I was in for, but I enjoyed it!
Quirky, more adult-themed than I'd known, but the artistry and action were enthralling, no doubt about that.
Plus, I love the way this character, "Reze" (who's this adorable antagonist) continually says "bang" before she literally explodes&mdash;her being a bomb and all ;-)
But the way she says it is what's so charming. The "n" is virtually silent, so (バン) comes out sounding more like "bahn."
Oh well, maybe you had to be there?
Anywho, do check it out if you're the least bit interested. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I loved Infinity Castle, so now I have a whole new spiderhole to explore: "supernatural, dark-fantasy action Japanese Anime something-or-other." Though, if asked by my mid-50s friends, I'll probably just tell 'em &ldquo;Think John Wick energy, Evil Dead weirdness, and Pan&rsquo;s Labyrinth atmosphere&mdash;but done as prestige Japanese animation.&rdquo;
They'll get that, right? I mean, do you?
