A smidge more sniveling than I'd prefer, but yeah, great cast and great acting.
Stephen Graham is fantastic, as always, as is DI Luke Bascombe (Ashley Walters) and child psychologist Dr. Briony Ariston (The Crown's Princess Anne, Erin Doherty), but the standout (in an Edward Norton/Aaron Stampler stuttering 1996 Primal Fear sort of way, opposite Richard Gere) is Owen Cooper as Jamie Miller.
Episode 3 is all cat-and-mouse chess, and dang, Jamie is flat-out creepy. No way I'd sleep in a room alone with that guy! I'd say we have a psychopath in da house!
Plus, I love the ER/The Pitt in-your-face/single-take filming. In Adolescence, we follow one character for several minutes, then hop onto another coming through the door. This happens maybe 4-6 times per hour, which is very cool across four tight episodes.
