I saw a news story the other night, on 60 Minutes or wherever, about a coastal tribe someplace that doesn’t possess the concepts—let alone the words—for “when,” “want,” or “worry.”
Wow, what a world that must be.
It’s clearly not our world. Not the one with departure times, the one with materialism, the one with anxiety.
But it’s nice to know such a place exists, somewhere beneath our same sun. Though I will never be there, I resolve to worry less, be content more, and to abide in the moment.
Far from being the least, it is perhaps the most one can do.
That any of us can do.
Let’s do it together.
